PHP is one the most hated programming language of all the time but PHP is not going anywhere and it is here to stay for the next decade. There are few things which have been updated and some of them are listed below:

Core:

  1. When copy empty array, next key is unspecified.
  2. Invalid pointer address

Date:

  1. DateTime hour incorrect during DST jump forward
  2. DateTimeZone loose comparison always true

FPM:

  1. Allow numeric [UG]ID in FPM listen. {owner,group}

SESSION:

  1. Session_create_id() fails for active sessions

These are some of the points which have been updated on PHP’s new update.

Now I have not mentioned every new update on PHP 7.4.5 but you can always check the logs here https://www.php.net/ChangeLog-7.php#7.4.5 .
